Detailed reports, covering condition, repairs and completed coverage
No. A coating is only recommended where the sheet and fixings are sound enough to support it. Where they are not, replacement is set out instead.
Yes, with containment, exclusion zones and agreed working hours confirmed before delivery begins.
Access is confirmed at survey stage - MEWP, scaffold, mansafe systems or temporary edge protection - and recorded in the method statement before operatives go to height.
Yes. Water rarely enters directly above where it appears internally; it commonly tracks along purlins, sheet laps and structural steel before dropping. Tracing starts inside to establish where water is showing, then works up the roof through the likely entry points - laps, fixings, flashings, rooflights, gutter joints and penetrations - rather than assuming the nearest point above the stain.
Protect people and equipment first: isolate electrics in the affected area, move or sheet stock and plant, and contain water away from traffic routes. Photograph the damage and note the weather and wind direction at the time - it helps identify the entry point and supports any insurance claim.
Yes. Where a roof is actively leaking, a temporary seal to the affected detail can be carried out to stop water ingress while the wider condition is surveyed and a permanent scheme is priced.
Twice a year is the usual pattern - after leaf fall in autumn and again in spring - plus a check after any storm or high wind event. Most leaks we attend start as blocked outlets, failed sealant or loose fixings, all of which are visible at inspection long before water appears inside.
Cement sheets and older rooflights on buildings of that age can contain asbestos. Nothing is drilled, cut or removed until the site's asbestos register or a survey confirms the position. We can carry out non-licenced asbestos works, including cleaning and coating. Any abestos removal we will work with a licenced team to aid.
Yes. Condition, repairs and completed coverage are photographed and issued as a report on completion, which is normally what insurers, loss adjusters and landlords ask for.
Project duration depends entirely on the scale of the works - the area involved, access arrangements, the number of coats or stages, and drying times between them. Once a specification is agreed we confirm a programme in writing, and we hold slots for urgent or weather-critical work.
